Notarial Deeds
Certain legal transactions are only legally valid if they are notarised by a public notary. In such cases, the notary plays a central role: reviewing the required documents, formally recording the declarations of the parties and preparing the official notarial deed.
Our notary office advises and assists you with a wide range of private and business matters – from company formations and marital and inheritance agreements to lasting powers of attorney and other formal declarations.
The notarial deeds executed by our office are valid throughout Switzerland and abroad, regardless of where you live or where your company is based.
Which notarial services do you need?
We also assist you with subsequent corporate and commercial register matters, including:
– Amendments to the articles of association
– Relocation of the registered office or change of company name
– Capital increases and reductions
– Mergers, demergers and conversions
– Transfers of assets
– Dissolution and liquidation of companies
As public notaries of the Canton of St. Gallen, we support you throughout the entire process, from preparing the required documents to completing the notarisation.

An inheritance agreement enables binding arrangements to be made for the event of death. Combining a marriage agreement with an inheritance agreement can provide comprehensive protection for the surviving spouse. Depending on the family and financial circumstances, this may help ensure, for example, that the surviving spouse can remain in the family home.
We notarise, among other things:
– Marriage agreements and property agreements under partnership law
– Agreements establishing separation of property or community of property
– Testamentary dispositions
– Inheritance agreements and inheritance renunciation agreements
– Appointments of heirs and agreements on the purchase of inheritance rights
– Legacies
– Provisions for the division of an estate

A lasting power of attorney allows you to appoint a trusted person in advance to handle your affairs should you lose the capacity to make decisions yourself. It enables you to set out your wishes and gives a person of your choice the necessary authority to act on your behalf.
A properly executed lasting power of attorney can also help reduce the need for additional measures by the KESB (Child and Adult Protection Authority) if you become incapacitated.

We can also assist with certain transactions governed by foreign law, including agreements under German law, such as the transfer of shares in a GmbH or inheritance agreements.
If you are unsure whether your legal transaction requires notarisation, we will be happy to advise you on the applicable requirements and the appropriate procedure.
